El pasado 22 de noviembre de 2009, tuve la fortuna de asistir como invitado al Concierto de los profesores de la Escuela Municipal de Música de Esparreguera (Barcelona), en el que se interpretó mi obra «Secretos de Papel».
El concierto tenía carácter pedagógico y asistieron numerosos alumnos del centro educativo. La imaginación y la creatividad con mi música es algo que siempre me llena de alegría y me estimula, en este caso pude comprobar como mi música encajaba perfectamente en la narración de un cuento tradicional indio y como ganaba una nueva dimensión con la incorporación del fagot en el conjunto, que sustituyó al contrabajo.
El resultado fue excelente y me sentí honrado de dirigir al final del concierto  uno de los movimientos de mi obra: «Si me dejas».
También respondí a algunas preguntas de los alumnos: «¿Cómo se te ha ocurrido esta música?
Buena pregunta… muchas veces ni yo mismo sé la respuesta.
Una obra musical pienso que siempre nace de la necesidad de contar algo íntimo y profundo que sólo la música puede explicar, es el lenguaje del alma, una carta abierta al futuro, que cobrará vida siempre que existan músicos, como los profesores de Esparraguera, dispuestos a descifrarla.

The last  22 November 2009, I was fortunate to attend the  Teachers’ Concert at the Music  School of  Esparreguera (Barcelona), which  played my score  «Secrets of Paper».
The concert, in a pedagogical way, was attended also by numerous music students.
The imagination and creativity with my music is something that always fills me happy  and inspires me, in this case I could see how my music fit perfectly into an Indian Story and as gaining a new dimension with the addition of  bassoon replaced the contrabass.
The result was excellent and I felt honored to conduct in the end of the concert one movement of my work: «If you leave me.»
The students also answered some questions: «Why did you writte this music?
Good question … often not know the answer myself.
I think a musical work is always born of the need to tell something intimate and profound than only can be explained with music. it is the language of the soul, an open letter to the future, which comes to life whenever there are musicians, like the Esparreguera’s teachers ready to decipher it.

Gracias a un bonito e-mail que he recibido del maestro Daniele Giacobbe profesor de la Associazione Culturale “Eureka” de Roreto Cherasco (Piemonte) (Italia), puedo tener la satisfacción de saber que he influido de manera importante en la trayectoria de la orquesta “Eureka Ensemble”.
Daniele explica que descubrió la web de Ensemble XXI y que ha seguido con mucho interés nuestra trayectoria y la filosofía de nuestro grupo.
Un día decidió hacer escuchar a los miembros de su grupo mi música, parece ser que gustó mucho a todos y decidieron incluirla en su repertorio.
Después de un año de trabajo, interpretaron varias de mis obras la pasada primavera en Roreto Cherasco y Cervo (Italia), me cuenta Daniele que el público se mostró entusiasmado.
Esto me llena de alegría y de ilusión y me anima a seguir trabajando para convencer a otros profesores de añadir otros instrumentos a sus grupos de guitarras.
De nuevo, pienso que mi trabajo vale la pena, y pienso seguir luchando, día a día, por mejorar la calidad de mi música y por darla a conocer a más colegas y amantes de la guitarra.

Thanks to a nice e-mail I received from Daniel Giacobbe professor at the Associazione Culturale “Eureka” from Roreto Cherasco (Piemonte) (Italy), I can have the satisfaction of knowing that I have had a significant impact on the trajectory of the orchestra “Eureka Ensemble”.
Daniele says that discovered the website of  Ensemble XXI and has followed with great interest our career and philosophy.
One day decided to show to his  group members my music, it seems that everyone liked and decided to include it in their repertoire.
After a year of work, performed several of my works this spring in Roreto Cherasco and Cervo (Italy), Daniele tells me that the public was enthusiastic.
This fills me with joy and hope and encourage me to continue working to convince other teachers to add other instruments in their  Guitar Ensembles.
Again, I think my work is worthwhile, and I  will continue to strive every day to improve the quality of my music and make it available to more colleagues and Guitar lovers.
